Sometimes, I think to myself that we all get stuck in this vicious circle. We work ourselves to the bone just to get the money, which we then proceed to spend to get rid of the stress that we acquired working. We shop furiously to get this kick, this pleasure of owning new things. We picture ourselves wearing fabulous clothes and using new lovely knick-knacks or gadgets around the house… just for this feeling to disappear once we get home and put the stuff away. It’s a bit like that with fast food or alcohol – when we are eating or drinking it’s great, but once we stop, it’s just not that great.
