I’m so happy it’s finally October. I know, last month, I mentioned that I couldn’t wait for September. Unfortunately, as it turned out, my holiday amongst other things just wasn’t all that relaxing for various reasons. Lots of things just backfired in my face, I don’t think I will be doing my uni course this year anymore (if not, then I will do it next year, don’t worry), I couldn’t find any coaching work and I got basically sacked from my job – as a cherry on top.
If it comes to the last one, I’m not that mad about it as it finally gives me an excuse to just move on with my life and start my own business from absolute scratch, just like I planned, but didn’t really had guts to do.
LIFE COACHING BUSINESS
As I have learned, there are not many people interested in coaching (even if it’s free) in the area I live. That’s why I decided to work on launching remote coaching business. I also want to get even more experienced, so I will still hunt for little experience gaining gigs and taking on pro bono clients. I just need to put myself out there more and get to work. So, yeah, did not achieve the goal I set for myself almost at all, but I didn’t really try too hard, so I have no-one to blame for it but myself.
EBAY RESELLING BUSINESS
After an unsuccessful attempt to find myself a job that wouldn’t be a total waste of time for myself, I have decided to just abandon all the attempts. What is the point if it is just not in alignment with what I want and it doesn’t just lie in my personality to be an employee, so I decided to go for a big leap and just start earning money for myself on myself. I whipped up a business plan, made few projections and within first 2 weeks I paid my bills for a month, so obviously, it didn’t go too bad for the first month. I’m not going to lie – it’s not what I want to do as a job long time – I’ve got other dreams and other goals I want to achieve in my life but to earn some money to invest in my future I’d rather be doing something that makes money AND where I can be my own boss. Easy as that. I know there will be a lot of nay sayers and haters in my life especially the ones that like to call themselves ‘reasonable’, but I actually prefer to call them boring. And visionless. And unsupportive.
TRIP TO CROATIA
It was a highlight of my month, truly. It wasn’t perfect and it wasn’t stressless 100% the f time, but I’m just so grateful for seeing such a beautiful part of the world, even though it was only a few days I still had a lovely holiday. It made me rethink lots of things and allowed to look at all I’m doing and where I’m working and how I’m spending my days from much further. I loved the weather obviously as well and enjoyed an injection of vitamin D. I had lovely time most of the time and it really was best thing that happened to me in a long time.
ANNUAL ZOO TRIP
As it was my partner’s Adams birthday we had a trip to the zoo, which is his favorite place. To be fair I think I enjoyed myself as much as he did. I always am conflicted about zoos, but I really like Colchester Zoo. The staff seems so lovely and I truly trust that they take care of animals and encourage them by training, not mistreat them in any way. I know there are a lot of people that don’t like the idea of the zoo and maybe I’m just being ignorant, but I really enjoy days out at the zoo. Anyways, I had a lovely time and saw all my favorite animals. Actually, we were quite lucky really, because we got to see a Red Panda, which is usually hiding somewhere, whenever we go there. We caught a lot of ‘showcases’ and really had just a lovely day watching and admiring all the animals.
Just as I’m accumulating more money doing my own sole trader thing on eBay, which I legally registered as self-employed, made me think of how I can further grow my ‘empire’ and how can I utilise talents I’ve already got and passion for designing my own products to really turn what I’m doing now into something that I actually love doing and I’m proud of. So, I have yet again, took out my business plan template, which I have done myself and thought about how can I start small to invest the money into something I actually love doing and maybe possibly make money for mundane things like food and accommodation. And occasional treat. So, yeah, I can’t write about the details yet, but I assure you – you will find out sooner or later.
September was my month of fighting with mediocrity. I really want this season – and every other season as a matter of fact, because I like celebrating my life – to be special, instead just regular. I tried in September and I will continue trying as well to cultivate all the little things that are so wonderful in Autumn.

WORTH NOTICING THIS MONTH ON THE BLOG
I wrote few posts last month worth mentioning.
I used to have a real problem managing clutter, what can I say, I’m quite a chaotic person. Although, thanks to few easy to implement habits I have worked on for few last months, I manage to keep my flat nice and clean.
Another really important topic I have touched on is cultivating kindness. I think every single person should read this post as we need more people to understand the magic of giving back. I have written about it as a part of the ‘Personal Development’ series, which I have named ‘Growth Potion’.
➝ SEE: CULTIVATING KINDNESS
Another post, I’m quite proud of is my Autumn Picks post, which is quite fun and light to read. I love to read this kind of roundups on other blogs.
Other posts worth noting:
So, what are my October goals?
LAUNCH OF THE SECRET PROJECT: Honestly – it’s only in the planning phase, but I’m already so excited to launch it. It appears on the top of that list because it just reflects how hyped up I am about this.
FOCUS ON SELF-CARE: I had a major setback with cultivating self-care in September, which is quite embarrassing as I literally write a blog about self-care and self-improvement. In October however, it will be my first priority every single day. To do something nice for myself – because I deserve it. Because I’m worth it. I encourage you to do the same. I feel like more we take care of ourselves more we even contribute to the society as you can’t pour from an empty glass.
POST AT LEAST EVERY OTHER DAY ON INSTAGRAM: I have deserted my Instagram last month. Yup, I did. There’s no excuse for that. That’s why it’s another thing I’m going to prioritize this month. Also, I plan to be much more active on Instagram stories and Snapchat.
STOP EATING JUNK FOOD: Another big one for me – I can be pretty irresponsible with my snacking. I mean, I know better, but still, will eat a bowl of popcorn for dinner. And pot noodle for lunch. That’s why, for a whole month, I won’t touch junk food. Only homemade or healthy choices in the restaurants. Also, no snacks unless it’s a healthy snack or fruit/veg.
HIT 1000 FOLLOWERS ON PINTEREST: I have been pretty consistent with my Pinterest growth, I usually gain about 100+ followers a month. Continuing that, I would like to reach a big 1000 this month!
LIST AT LEAST 130 NEW THINGS ON EBAY: Well, as my secret project is exciting indeed, but it is costly and it will need an investment as I want to create a brand, not only sell a product, so I want all the branding and packaging on point. I vision creating an experience, rather than just making a sale. So I have to get that money from somewhere. After doing some scaling and calculating, that’s approximate of how many things I need to list to make sufficient amount of money. Better get listing, then!
Sorry for the longish post, but I had to get it out of myself. Hope the freebie is useful and it will help you get some inspiration or plan for next month.
Thanks for reading!
